OLMET ITALY IN THE UNITED STATES

With great satisfaction, Olmet Italy took a potential customer on a tour of the Northeast Precast manufacturing facility in the United States. This visit was a valuable opportunity to showcase the efficiency and quality of our Tilting tables, already successfully operating in top-level production environments.

Olmet Italy has been selected in 2022 by Northeast Precast – an innovative company in USA – as the supplier of n. 12 Hydraulic operated tilting tables (formwork) – dim: 57’5’’x15’1’’ (17,5*4,6 m) for the production of smooth surfaces concrete products. The tables have been designed, manufactured, tested and installed by Olmet Italy, following the specific customer requests. In the mentioned project, the tables are made of Italian steel, casting plate and steel profiles complying with “S275JR” acc. to EN 10027-1 Standards and the casting steel sheets are of the highest quality, 10 mm thick. The special welded steel frame guarantees rigidity to the surface sheet; the frame is manufactured with large cross-sectional steel beams. The transversal ones are positioned at a center distance of 300 mm between each other.  Casting sheets are sandblasted and then polished with a special honing machine: this system guarantees a perfect finish of the product, which is therefore smooth and shiny. The “tandem” technology offers a series of advantages such as allowing to use each single table or use them all together obtaining a larger casting surface. The Tables may be tilted up to 80 ° using telescopic hydraulic actuators: these allow to extend without the need for special pits in the floor. The hydraulic actuators are equipped with anti-fall safety valve. The electrical cabinet with PLC controller gives the possibility for perfectly synchronized lifting of the tables even in case of uneven weight distribution over the table.
